The University of Wollongong Faculty of Social Sciences was formed in 2013 following an organisational restructure. It was dissolved on 1 July 2020 and incorporated in the new Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities. In 2013 it comprised an amalgamation of the former Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences.
