The Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute is a partnership between the University of Wollongong and the South Eastern Sydney Illawarra Area Health Service. IHMRI's research focuses on health and medical issues that are common in the Illawarra region and is aimed at improving the health and well being of the local community. IHMRI's goal is to foster research collaboration through the IHMRI Research Network, creating a centre of excellence and innovation that represents the focal point of health and medical research in this region.
