Background: This was the second play by the young playwright and actor Bill Neskovski who died aged 25 in 1989. He migrated with his family from Macedonia in 1974 and subsequently graduated from the Creative Arts School at the University of Wollongong. At the time of writing this semi-autobiographical play, dealing with issues confronting Macedonian migrants, he was playwright-in-residence at Theatre South. This production also featured a young Craig Pearce who has become well-known for his screenplay collaborations with Baz Luhrman, including the newly released film The Great Gatsby.
