Policies

JGI Peer-Review

Each submission will be reviewed by at least three credentialed academics whose research and publications closely align with the focus of the submitted article. This review process is an opportunity for engaged critique.

JGI encourages academics that have interest to join our roster of reviewers. To be eligible, you must provide your CV and a statement about your area of expertise. Address applications as follows. Subject: JGI Reviewer Application, and email to JGI Editor.

Publication Schedule

Two issues annually: the first in February and the second in August of each year. To be considered for the February issue, you need to submit by November 1; to be considered for the August issue, you need to submit by April 1.

Submission

Articles are generally 4000-6000 words and must be submitted as an electronic Word file (.doc format).

Submission Instructions

Follow the instructions below to submit a manuscript to the Journal of Global Indigeneity. Shortly afterward, you will receive an email confirming your submission. The submission process consists of the following steps:

  1. Read and accept the Article Submission Agreement
  2. Provide information about yourself
  3. Provide information about any authors
  4. Upload your article and related items

Format Specifications

  • Microsoft Word
  • Times New Roman font
  • Double Spaced
  • 12 point font
  • Number all pages
  • Use English (UK spelling, e.g. colour, centre, etc.)

Articles must adhere to the APA style format as outlined at http://www.apastyle.org
