Abstract
2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London. In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), Broadcast Protocol (BP) can support their nodes to share their local information and transmit data by one-to-all or all-to-one (all). But the existing schemes are based on symmetric cryptosystem, which results in a single point of failure and lack of dynastic management. And it also results in serious redundancy and collision. How to overcome these limits is a main challenge problem. We introduce a new BP in this paper. This scheme is constructed based on an asymmetric cryptosystem which overcomes parts of the previous shortcomings. It has many advantages over the available, such as a good trade-off between the transmitted data size and the decryption key size, low amount of memory and storage space for the node. Finally, we also show it can be used in RFID systems.
