Abstract

Change, challenge and opportunity are the common phenomena in the higher education sector. In the current era, there is a wide range of student demographics, changing pedagogies, advances in technology, an increasingly diversified academic workforce and various other impacts arising from globalisation that are both social and economic. Within these contexts, institutional leaders are required to remain focused on the mission to promote student learning through the provision of a quality student experience. This book explores what matters most, aimed at inspiring university leaders to stay true to this mission and protect priorities in an environment where workloads are high and funding is low.
