Abstract
Accurate measures of physical activity and sedentary behaviour are of critical importance to examine all phases of the behavioural epidemiology framework. This thesis aimed to validate activity monitor-based assessment approaches for the objective measurement of these behaviours in 5- to 12-year-old children.
