Abstract
Recent scientific advances in imaging technology mean the development of fluorescent and radiopharmaceutical probes have great potential for the measurement of pathological processes involved in various diseases, including neurodegenerative diseases and cancers. This thesis describes the design, synthesis, and biological studies of fluorescent and radiopharmaceutical (tau ligands) probes for imaging neurodegenerative diseases.
