Abstract
Among microforming technologies, micro deep drawing (MDD) process has the potential application in industry because of its advantages of high productivity, low production cost, high product quality and less pollution. Considering the promising application of composite material, aluminium (Al)-copper (Cu) composite is selected to conduct MDD tests because of the multifunctional applications in industry and good plasticity of Al and Cu. In this study, the formability of Al-Cu composite thin foil in MDD process is explored with both experimental and simulation methods.
