Abstract

Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovation theory is one of the most influential social theories that has been successfully applied to explain how, why, and at what rate new ideas, processes, and technology spread through a population or community. This essay introduces the key components of the theory, that is, the key determent factors for innovation success and the famous “S-curve” that represents the life cycle of an innovation.
