Abstract
Flora Tristán is the most relevant utopian socialist author of her generation. She argued two oppressed classes, women and proletarians, needed to work together for their emancipation and, more importantly, that of humanity. In her last book, Union Ouvrière, she explored the reasons for the subjection of women, tried to convince workers why it was in their best interest to fight for the emancipation of women and provided a plan to achieve these goals.
