Abstract
Von Recklinghausen neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) is the most common inherited syndrome predisposing to neoplasia; however, the disease itself has not been commonly associated with lung cancer, with neural crest-derived tumors the most common in the NF-1 population. In addition, patients with NF-1 can develop pulmonary disease that is distinct from malignancy; the most common being diffuse interstitial fibrosis and bullae formation. We report a rare case of metastatic none small-cell lung carcinoma(NSCLC) in a patient with NF-1.
