Abstract
In addition to the decisions around study design, the mixed methods researcher must also select and implement methods to collect the qualitative and quantitative data for their study. This chapter will explore how the use of a mixed methods design impacts upon the collection of study data. It will discuss some of the fundamental issues faced by researchers collecting both qualitative and quantitative data in a mixed methods study and identify some strategies to address these issues.
