The Ethics Rupture: Exploring Alternatives to Formal Research Ethics Review
Abstract
In this chapter, we discuss the extension of research ethics governance over the social sciences in Australia; identify the points at which as researchers, managers, and regulators we began wrestling with the consequences of poor governance; and discuss some of the work we have undertaken together as consultants in response to the adversarial culture.
