Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health problem in the Western Pacific region. Together, South-East Asia and the Western Pacific account for 60% of the world's TB cases.1 The incidence of TB in Vanuatu is 67/100,0002 with 34 cases identified on Tanna Island in 20113 (population 28,799), an incidence of 118/100,000.
