Abstract
[from introduction] Even though anti-discrimination legislation has been on the books for well over thirty years, this is the first detailed Australian text examining this branch of law.The publication of such a book prompts several questions about the discipline and its subject matter. What does it reveal about the current state of anti-discrimination law in Australia, both doctrinally and in practice? How does it advance our understanding of the legislation and its interpretation? Where does anti-discrimination law sit in the law curriculum and what is its relationship to labour law? How should the subject be taught and studied?
