Effect of thermomechanical processing parameters on the microstructure development in low Si TRIP steel

Abstract
The effect of thermomechanical processing (TMP) parameters on the microstructure of the low Si, Al-added Ti-Mo TRIP steel was investigated using Gleeble 3500 thermo-mechanical simulator. The results showed that the formation of a significant volume fraction of polygonal ferrite is essential for the retained austenite presence in the microstructure of the TRIP steel.
