Abstract
The effect of grain size on deformation behavior of pure copper deep drawing cups was studied by means of micro deep-drawing apparatus (DT-C539), optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and tensile tester. The results show that the number of wrinkles and pits increases with the increase of grain size. In terms of thickness distribution, with the increase of grain size, the difference between the thickness of the thinnest region and the average thickness increases from 10 μm to 14 μm. According to the deep drawing force versus displacement curves, the maximum deep drawing force decreases from 37.7 N to 32.6 N when the grain size increases from 10 μm to 35 μm, and the maximum deep drawing force increases from 32.6 N to 33.4 N when the grain size increases from 35 μm to 68 μm.
