Abstract
The interaction between non-spherical particles and fluid is very important for many industrial processes. This study investigates the drag of single particle of cuboid with square bases with regular changed shapes experimentally. The influence of particle shape and density and fluid parameters is analyzed. The drag coefficients of cuboids are higher than that of spheres for Rep from 0.05 to 6300. Based on the inherent law of all the data with Ar and Rep, a general and accurate drag model for these different shape particles is proposed.
