Canadian preservice teachers’ classroom behaviour management practices

Abstract
Canadian preservice elementary teachers’ behaviour management practices were surveyed and found to use initial correction practices more frequently than prevention practices. Moreover, preservice teachers are more confident and successful in prevention practices, yet use these less frequently; they are less successful in initial correction practices, yet use these more frequently.
