Abstract

Various models analysing separate sets of impacts of knowledge management on organisationaloutcomes have been proposed in the literature. However, an integrative model considering thecomplete set of critical impacts of knowledge management infrastructure and process capabilities onorganisational competitive advantage seems to be missing. This paper, thus, develops a theoreticalmodel of inter-relationships among these variables. The proposed model might be used as practicalrecommendation for business executives, especially those operating in Vietnam, an emerging Asianeconomy, to be successful in knowledge management projects in attaining long-term strategicobjective. The structural equation modelling analysis of data collected from 362 Vietnamese managersconfirmed the effectiveness of the proposed model in examining the impacts of knowledge managementon organisational competitiveness.
