Abstract

Heteroatom doping, especially nitrogen doping, is an efficient approach to enhancing the activity of carbon-based electrocatalysts. Recently in Nature Chemistry, Wang and co-workers reported a new nitrogen doping form, sp-hybridized nitrogen (sp-N). The sp-N-doped graphdiyne catalyst showed appealing activity toward the oxygen reduction reaction in both alkaline and acidic solutions.
