Abstract
Transmission Kikuchi Diffraction orientation mapping correlated with transmission microscopy observations was applied to a multi-phase TRIP-TWIP steel subjected to 66% cold-rolling and 625 °C annealing. The cold-rolled microstructure and micro-texture suggests the possibility of variant selection in the ε and α' phases at the local map scale. Upon annealing, a majority of the microstructure reverse transforms to the γ phase and records the early-on development of a near Brass -type micro-texture.
