Abstract
The NSW Clinical Redesign Program (CSRP) has its origins in the 'Maggie Project' that has been underway in the Hunter region since 2002. In 2004 the NSW Health Department established the Access Block Improvement Program (ABIP) which was undertaken in 10 hospitals with the goal of reducing access block out of emergency departments.
