Abstract

Many composers and performers use electronic equipment to make music in a wide variety ofways and numerous genres. Within classical music there a,e approaches as diverse as Ian Fredericks's precise use of mathematics to simulate sounds moving through space at supersonic speeds, the environmental and political concerns of the sound sculptor Joan Brassil and the composer-performer Ron Nagorcka, and the present writer's movement-activated music.
