Abstract

In this thesis the mechanical behaviour and micro-texture evolution during nanoindentation deformation of single crystal aluminium has been numerically and experimentally investigated. The hardening parameters of single crystal copper have been estimated systematically by crystal plasticity finite element method (CPFEM) modelling.
