Abstract
The thermal metamorphism of the Mid-Late Silurian Coolac Ophiolite Suite by the Early Devonian Bogong Granite southeast of Tumut, in southern New South Wales, has led to the development of a diverse range of hornfelses. The dismembered Coolac Ophiolite, which comprises the Coolac Serpentinite and Honeysuckle Metabasic Igneous Complex, has a hornblende hornfels facies thermal metamorphism overprinting a low grade greenschist regional metamorphism.
