Abstract

The concept of anticipation is a salient feature of personal construct theory. Kelly's Organization Corollary provides an understanding of this concept. Central to the Corollary is the notion that constructs are organized hierarchically. This chapter reviews approaches to assessing hierarchies of construing. It distinguishes between grid and non-grid based methods, and discusses established and recent methods for addressing how construct hierarchy is assessed.
