Abstract

The Philippines is among the most vulnerable countries in the world to climate change. The 2014 Climate Change Vulnerability Index (CCVI) placed the Philippines, of 193 countries rated, as the ninth most at risk to the physical and economic impacts of climate change. The country's capital, Manila, is considered the second most vulnerable of the world's megacities to the effects of climate change.
