Abstract
Brought up in Michigan, blooded as a newspaper reporter in Detroit and New York, and not long married to a Canadian (Mina), Leonidas Hubbard Jr. was a writer for the leisure magazine Outing when he conceived the idea of exploring unknown Labrador.
