Abstract
One could fill a good-size bookcase with the volumes penned under the name 'globalization' over the past decade. The topic touches so many of the traditional disciplines that it seems everyone has something to contribute to the conversation. Economists, political scientists, anthropologists, sociologists, historians, geographers, communication researchers - there is no end in sight to the vantage points provided by globalization's multifarious processes. So why one more book? Well, scan that bookcase carefully and one will find the selection of volumes on Asian globalization still sparse.
