Research Contribution
In a recent three dimensional work, ‘Edgeways’ 2006 produced for the 2006 Clemenger Award at the National Gallery of Victoria, Redgate placed mirrors in plastic objects, some of which had been previously photographed in the series STRAIGHTCUT 2001-2006. The work in Prelude continued this exploration using objects and light in a series of still-life arrangements.
Research Significance
‘Prelude’ 2008 was a preview of new work from selected artists to be featured in the National Gallery of Victoria’s 2008 programme. As well as Redgate’s work, it included works by Maria Fernanda Cardosa and Imants Tillers.
