Abstract
By performing a few imaginative leaps between two nineteenth-centurycontact zones, Paris and Yackandandah (in Victoria, Australia), this essay tracescorrespondences between Charles Baudelaire's ideas and the ink drawings of theKwat Kwat sketcher of manners, Yackaduna, also recorded as Warra-euea andTommy Barnes, but known to posterity as Tommy McRae.
