Redgate also exhibited a sculptural tableaux from an earlier series, called ‘Pigs can’t get up sleeves can they mum? ‘Untitled 1990-2010’ continues Redgate’s research into photographic documentation being a 1:1 photographic replica of Redgate’s earlier work, ‘untitled’, 1990, from Fox-Talbot, Articles of China [plate iii] and Articles of Glass [plate iv], in The Pencil of Nature, 1844-46, library buckram, cardboard, ceramic, glass, 124 x 79 x 27.5cm. In this work ‘the object is “separated from its continuous function” emphasising that in [these] photographs … the objects are bifurcated, divorced from ontological possibility of feeling’ (Hibberd, 2010)
