Abstract

Significant aspects of research concerning regional landslide management are outlined. These include the development of a landslide inventory, zoning maps of landslide susceptibility and hazard, rainfall intensity-duration relationships showing thresholds for landslide displacement and continuous real-time monitoring of subsurface displacements and pore water pressures, Methods developed in the Wollongong Study Area are presented and several of the significant outcomes are summarized.
