Abstract

2019 IEEE. This paper investigates the impact of high frequency (HF) voltages in the range of 2 - 150 kHz present in the electricity distribution networks on the lifetime of electrolytic capacitors used as the DC link in switch mode power supplies (SMPS) of grid connected equipment. In this study, both time domain simulations and controlled laboratory experiments have been employed.
