Abstract
This chapter addresses the transfer of human resource management (HRM) policies and practices of multinational companies (MNCs) across borders in the context of globalisation, with an emphasis on the transfer of HRM practices from developed to developing countries. The chapter specifically explores how and to what extent the
- macro level (the home and host countries);
- meso level (the industry);
- micro level (the firm); and
- HRM-specific level
influence subsidiary HRM behaviour.
