The problem of finding the form of the output of a queue is examined in this thesis, which is divided into to sections. The first section deals with the distribution of the inter-departure intervals of single-server queing systems. The second section examines the serial structure of the output process, basing the work on Daley's generalised auto-correlation formulae for output.
