A new grid material, Pb-Ca-Sn-Al-Se alloy has been made and a series of mechanical and electrochemical experiments has been carried out to investigate the influence of selenium on the Pb-Ca-Sn-Al alloy which is widely used in lead-acid batteries at the present time as a grid material.
