This thesis describes the details of how two low cost I/O devices, namely a dot matrix display module and a thermal printer were interfaced to the board. The dot matrix display module is an alphanumeric Liquid Crystal Display module which can display 8 0 characters in two lines. The thermal printer is capable of printing 20 characters on each line.
