An homologous series of potentially quadridentate (Ni(II) complexes have been prepared from Schiff bases obtained by the condensation of 5-chloro-2-hydroxy benzophennone and alkane diamine, NH2_(CH2)n_NH2, where n=2-12. The complexes prepared are of the type NiL
