This thesis explores the gas-phase reactions of ortho-substituted phenyl radicals with neutral species including O2, allene, and propyne using mass spectrometry. It is revealed that after formation of the reaction adduct, the presence of an orthosubstituent provides an unique intermediate to a↵ect the final product distribution in a manner distinct from meta- and para-substituted phenyl radical reactions.
