The aim of this research project was to demonstrate the viability of Silver doped Lanthanum Manganite nanoparticles as a hyperthermic treatment agent for cancer cells. To achieve this, an in-depth characterisation was completed which included neutron diffraction and, for the first time, inelastic neutron scattering on nano scale Silver doped Lanthanum Manganite. In addition to this, incorporated are some of the earliest results using TAIPAN's new Beryllium filter.
