This research reports the outcomes of a study into developing and validating a risk management based methodology for improving training decision making when developing and implementing training. The methodology was developed by the researcher by applying risk management theory to the logical processes of training decision making. The research introduces and tests an innovative training decision making methodology - called the Risk Management of Training Decision Framework (RMTDF) that uses risk management theory as the basis for improved training decision making. The research design and methodology was guided by a central research question. This central research question asked: ‘Can a Risk Management Training Decision Framework Improve Training Decision Making and Provide More Effective Training Decision Outcomes?’
