Kung'oa kwa udongo (uprooting with soil): Submission to the Parliamentary Inquiry to Parliament of Western Australia Joint Standing Committee on the Commissioner for Children and Young People

<p dir="ltr">I was invited to contribute to the inquiry into support for children and young people who have been directly or indirectly exposed to trauma associated with migration to Australia due to humanitarian crises. The objective is of this inquiry is improving the lives and prospects of children and young people suffering from trauma associated with forced migration (or intergenerational trauma resulting from their parents’ forced migration). I agreed to participate because the objective is important for members of the Black African community and aligns with my experience and research on the topic as an academic.</p>
