This is the Final Report of the Validation and Field Trials of the Assessment Framework and Tool for Aged Care project. This report provides details of the field testing of the Aged Care Assessment Tool for Level 1 and Level 2 Assessment at seven sites across Australia. Our previous report, A Model and Proposed Items for the New Assessment System for Aged Care (Sansoni et al., 2012c) detailed an assessment system with three levels of Assessment related to need for services:
