Trade union membership fees: some theoretical considerations

This paper analyses the relationships betweentrade-union’s fees , unemployment and members’ income and prospects of employment and the implications of these relationships for the optimal membership fee with an emphasis on the role of membership level as a determinant of the tradeunion bargaining power.
