The Wedding

The reflection that looked back at Mrs Ujwala Shah was that of a woman in her forties. Her face had long ago lost all claims to youth and as she tried to smooth away the lines around her eyes, they only fell back in place. Her complexion too had lost its freshness and the skin of her neck had started to sag.
