In recent years, single-atom catalysts (SACs) have attracted tremendous research interests in energy conversion and storage due to their maximum atom utilization efficiency, remarkable catalytic activity, and superior reaction selectivity. p-block elements demonstrate specific advantages as the active single-atom sites in SACs owing to their unique physical and chemical properties. In this review, we comprehensively summarize recent progress of p-block SACs, including different types of support materials for p-block SACs and their electrocatalytic applications, such as electrocatalytic oxygen reduction, electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution, and electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. Current challenges and future prospects for the development of p-block SACs are also provided.
