Topological Weyl semimetals are a new class of quantum materials with 3D Dirac electronic states. A variety of novel electronic and optoelectronic properties have been observed in Weyl semimetals, which make them highly promising for future electronic, spintronic, and optoelectronic devices. Here, we report the generation of surface plasmon polaritons at visible wavelengths in the topological Weyl semimetal WTe2. We find that the plasmonic resonance can be distinctly formed in the WTe2 nanograting configuration. The resonance wavelength is dependent on the width of the nanograting. Our finding in the Weyl semimetal will open a new avenue for plasmonic control and devices in high frequency region.
